Live Show Review: Corrosion of Conformity at The Regent Theater – July 11, 2026
On July 11th The Regent Theater in downtown Los Angeles hosted Corrosion of Conformity on their latest album tour, “Good God / Baad Man”, released through Nuclear Blast. Engaging the crowd throughout the show while planting their signature sound. C.O.C. bring a southern rock-metal swing with bite. A league of their own in my opinion, difficult to place, which is exactly what sets them apart. Their latest album proves that point. So with a full house, full volume, and with my heart full (more on that later) as well, the entire night was delivered in proper C.O.C. fashion.

Woody Weatherman – Corrosion of Conformity
Pepper Keenan (vocals/guitar), Woody Weatherman (guitar), Bobby Landgraf (bass), and Nick Shabatura (drums) came out strong with a track from their latest album, “Asleep on the Killing Floor” with that unmistakable C.O.C. groove and crunch. Dipping back to the Deliverance album, “Seven Days” and then adding another new track, “You Or Me”, were some early in the set gems.

Mid-set they dropped a searing version of “13 Angels” from their “America’s Volume Dealer” album. They cooked it up nicely, taking us all on a journey through that hauntingly beautiful song. This song in particular reminded me of my late friend Brian Shields, quite possibly the biggest C.O.C. fan on the planet. When discussing C.O.C. I always told Brian that was my favorite track, so hearing this one really sank deep for me. Brian introduced me to their music, as well as many other great bands. As Pepper took the crowd through “13 Angels”, it felt meant to be, a moment for me to smile and think of the friend I miss so dearly. As they powered on, continuing without the need of flashy stage theatrics or unnecessary light gimmicks, C.O.C cooked on through the night with classics from their extensive vault.

C.O.C. brought me to a place I needed to go that night, connecting me with a long lost friend through the power of live music. Somehow I know I wasn’t alone, don’t we all go to shows for these reasons at times? Remembering others and the good times had, thinking of those days past as we push on into the future using music as our guide, and at times our savior. I stood there remembering my friend, enjoying great music with a full heart and horns up.
