STRATEJACKET

Based all over the San Francisco Bay Area, StrateJacket is an indie rock band conceived during the pandemic – and now that life is back to whatever normal is these days, StrateJacket is taking it on the road and garnering a good deal of attention in the process. One of their recent stops was at Harvard & Stone in Hollywood, where the power trio rocked the house in nothing short of an epic way. Envision a stunning amalgamation of Green Day and Imagine Dragons, and you are only beginning to encounter what StrateJacket has to offer this great big post pandemic world. And the attendees at Harvard & Stone were about to find out!

StrateJacket took the stage and proceeded to unleash an explosive barrage of super infectious songs that absolutely soared into the stratosphere. Amongst the brilliant repertoire of tunes were the very recently released singles Be My Drug and Bad Start – both of which we absolutely captivating within a live setting. Other selections from their upcoming EP were also previewed and very well received by the Harvard & Stone crowd.

The trio of musicians within the ranks of StrateJacket supply a massive auditory experience. Jackson Roemers delivers the sweltering goods tenfold on lead vocals and guitar. Fabian Angel supplies a thunderous low end on bass while Nate Mangold brings it all home with a stylish vengeance on drums. It was awesome to see StrateJacket deliver a stadium caliber show within the hallowed walls of Harvard & Stone.

Big things are already happening in the very near future for StrateJacket, including appearances at the Welcome To Rockville and Aftershock Festival this summer!  Prior to their set at Harvard & Stone, StrateJacket participated in a Jack Lue photo shoot! Watch for the pix and an exclusive interview with the band in the next issue of Highwire Daze!

MUX

MUX

Opening the show at Harvard & Stone was L. A’s own MUX, presenting his own brand of smooth and vibrant indie rock. Mux is certainly a compelling artist on the rise, and possesses the sweeping tunes, dynamic voice, and stage presence galore to go to the distance. Opening with the exhilarating one two punch of Secrets and When You Want It, MUX clearly captured the attention of the early arrivals. MUX is definitely an artist destined for greater glories ahead, judging by the standout performance presented at Harvard & Stone.

Assisting MUX in bringing the tunes to ultra-vivid life were Elijah Stavely on drums and Skyler Leon on guitar (who is also his cousin). Exploration into the world of MUX is absolutely recommended – and you can catch this artist on the rise April 10th at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip! In the meantime, check out his latest singles Reflections, Graveyard Man, and all the other terrific MUX releases on Spotify!
