Cooper Turnbull at Hotel Ziggy – Live Review

On Wednesday January 15, 2025 I had the opportunity to attend a WFNM showcase at Hotel Ziggy on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, California. Amongst the group of musicians that performed was this young man named Cooper Turnbull. Cooper Turnbull is a singer/songwriter originally from Southern California, but he calls Australia home right now. He’s currently visiting Southern California for the next few months and trying to perform at as many locations as possible.

Cooper is a very talented singer/songwriter with a true passion to perform for his fans and deliver an outstanding performance and completely draws the crowd in.  I met Cooper a little while before his set started, a very humble personable young man.

When he took the stage to start performing, from the first note I knew he was going to be beyond special. He has a very deep soul, and an amazing range of sound. He reminded me of a very soulful 90’s artist named BabyFace.

Cooper’s set was entirely all songs written exclusively by him, which touched on a wide range of topics. All written based on real life experiences he has personally gone through.  As he’s only been songwriting a short time, he dreamt of this since he was a young child. Cooper is starting to gain more popularity with every performance he does, and I saw a handful of devoted fans supporting him last night, myself now included. The future is going to be superbly bright for this extremely talented young man.
