Sakshi Chopra and Fin Peach at Hotel Ziggy – Live Review

We Found New Music at Hotel Ziggy is definitely the place discover brand new artists on this rise. This night jam-packed with talent is always free, and along with the setting and the great sounds and lights, this Sunset Strip event has quickly become a main event for music fans of all ages. On this special night of March 18th, Highwire Daze caught with two very excited artists on the rise.

SAKSHI CHOPRA

Drummer extraordinaire Nolan Richards has been on the Highwire Daze radar for quite some time now. For the last several years, Nolan has participated in our All-Star Jam at the Highwire Daze Booth at The NAMM Show.

Because of various rules as presented by NAMM, our live performances would always be shut down – so I never really had the chance to check out Nolan in action without the threat of The NAMM Police and their trusty Decibel Meter contraptions. When photographer Denise Johnson and I found out Nolan would be playing drums for a local artist at Hotel Ziggy, we decided to make a trip into the wilds of West Hollywood and check it out!

The artist Nolan would be performing with was Sakshi Chopra, and I must say, what an enchanting, magical performance Sakshi and her band presented. With a superbly imaginative mixture of pop, dance, and exotic India-inspired music, Sakshi enraptured the entire room with her dazzling singing and dancing. With songs such as Not My Fault and Hypnotized displaying beauty and empowerment, Sakshi performance was captivating to behold.

In addition to Sakshi’s stunning display of talent, the artist is surrounded by an absolutely first-rate band, including Nolan Richards displaying a grand virtuosity on drums, Kazuki Tokaji on driving guitar, and Vedant Joshi on dynamic keyboards. With a multi-national band presenting a show filled with excitement and intrigue, Sakshi Chopra is an inspiration, and her live show must be experienced by all music aficionados.  Sakshi Chopra is destined to be a superstar!

FIN PEACH

Right after Sakshi’s set, another local artist named Fin Peach was scheduled to appear. At the show was TJ Minor, another very amazing singer you all need to discover, who would give me a great recommendation regarding Fin and his music. I was already planning to stay, but TJ’s endorsement of this artist made me really curious to see and hear what Fin Peach has to offer the world at large. And what a fantastic performance Fin and his wonderful band delivered at Hotel Ziggy.

Fin Peach has an effortless star quality, and his expressive voice, stage presence, and memorable songs really set the imagination in flight. The music of Fin Peach is vibrantly timeless – very cool pop rocking songs that will remain jangling in your head for ages. Sick is a should-be radio classic, a very relatable song about the joys of playing hooky from work. Another highlight was the live premiere of his recently released single With You that clearly captured the attention of the packed Hotel Ziggy showroom.
