Another amazing night at Hotel Ziggy curated by We Found New Music (WFNM) with Grant Owens, and it was time to check out a local LA/OC based band named The Lucky Effect. Presenting their own dynamic brand of indie alternative pop and rock, The Lucky Effect unleashed an absolutely exhilarating set! A refreshing blast to the senses to be sure, The Lucky Effect is destined to be your next favorite obsession.
Opening with the wickedly wonderful refrains of Anhedonia (Desert Of Real) and then raging into the ripping Win Some Lose Some, The Lucky Effect nearly blew the roof off the Hotel Ziggy. There was a ton of fun and mischief to be experienced within The Lucky Effect and their superbly infectious tunes and good time demeanor. It’s always terrific to discover an amazing new band on the rise, and The Lucky Effect is ready and willing to take the listener on their journey into the big time.
Moses Navarro and Ian East shared lead vocal and guitar duties, and they each perform with skill, imagination, as well an impassioned and freewheeling sense of conviction. And what a devastatingly talented rhythm section The Lucky Effect possesses, with bassist Patrick East and drummer Kaiawe Miyasato pulling out the aces with an all-out intensity.
At the very end of their set, The Lucky Effect launched into their recent single Call it Love, a song that should be raging all over the worldwide radio airwaves and sounds tremendous in a live setting. The Lucky Effect is definitely a band well worth seeking out, especially in a live setting as these guys know how to deliver the auditory goods tenfold!
