Fastride at Universal Bar & Grill – Live Review

Fastride, Universal Bar & Grill, Universal City, CA., June 14, 2025

On Saturday June 14th I ended up at Universal Bar and Grill to see the band Fastride. I am fortunate enough to consider Ty a friend of mine, so when he asked me to come see the band it was a definite yes. I have seen them perform a handful of times since mid 2024.

Fastride brought their energy to the stage Saturday night. The band line-up on Saturday consisted of :
Ty – guitar
Jaime – vocals
Francisco – drums
Ray – filing in on bass guitar

A high energy set that had everyone in the crowd on their feet. Ty always blows me away when he is onstage, shredding on his guitar. Jaime a strong vocalist and his energy on stage is always magic. And of course with Francisco on drums, and as you watch him play, you can feel the passion he brings to each song. Ray who was subbing for bassist, definitely stepped up and you could totally see how excited he was to perform with them, and has an intense love to perform.

My favorite was definitely their original song Sweet Candy, and of course Ty’s guitar solo, anytime I get to see Ty shred on the guitar always puts a smile on my face.

Fastride is a high energy, passionate rock band whose sound is a mix between 70/80s rock influences, and their passion to perform always shines on stage.
