Unpolished* delivered a raw, emotionally charged set at Emo Fest on July 13th, captivating the crowd at Naughty Pine Brewing with their gritty charm and heartfelt hooks.

Taking the stage at 3 PM during the fest’s sun-drenched peak, Unpolished* leaned into their name with unapologetic fervor. Their sound—equal parts melodic angst and garage-born grit—channeled early 2000s emo with a fresh, DIY edge. The band tore through a tight set of originals that felt both nostalgic and immediate, with standout moments including a cathartic chorus that had the front row shouting back every word.

The crowd, a mix of scene veterans and new-gen emo fans, responded with open arms—moshing lightly, swaying hard, and singing louder as the set progressed. The outdoor beer bar and vendor market added a laid-back vibe, but Unpolished* kept the emotional intensity dialed in. Their chemistry was palpable, especially during a stripped-down mid-set ballad that hushed the patio chatter and drew heads from the merch tables.

Visually, the band kept it simple—black tees, battered gear, and zero pretense—letting the music speak for itself. It was a smart move in a lineup packed with theatrics. Their authenticity stood out, and by the time they closed with a blistering finale, they’d earned more than a few new fans.

For a band still carving their place in the scene, Unpolishe*d proved they’re more than ready to headline the next parking lot takeover. Emo Fest 2025 was better for having them on the bill
