The Lucky Effect at Hotel Ziggy – Live Review

The Lucky Effect, We Found New Music at Hotel Ziggy, West Hollywood, CA., October 21, 2025

On Tuesday October 21, 2025, I headed over to Hotel Ziggy in West Hollywood, to catch a friend’s band performing at We Found New Music showcase. While waiting for their set I passed the time by realizing another band The Lucky Effect, who I have been wanting to see, was also going to be performing. I ended up being able to meet them, and asked if I could take some photos of them, pre-show as well as live music, they immediately said yes.

The Lucky Effect consists of four young men:
Ian East: Vocals, Guitar
Moses Navarro: Vocals, Guitar
Patrick East: Bassist
Kaiawe Miyasato: Drummer

This band brought an intense energy to the WFNM stage, and the crowd absolutely loved every moment! Their set list included For The Better, Damn Special, I Want You, and they closed their set with their original song Call It Love, a very catchy pop/alternative tune. Ian brings an enthusiastic energy to each song, and when Moses joins in they definitely are a superb duo. Add in Patrick who tears up the bass, and Kaiawe ripping it up on the drums.

This band has a distinct style, and you can feel each member’s passion for performing, for their distinct music, and very unique sound. A fiery explosion of loud guitars and bass, amazing riffs, and the beats by Kaiawe (Kai) on the drum kit. It definitely draws you in.

I can’t wait to see them perform live again, such very down-to-earth young men.
