Sweet Corvette at The Whisky – Live Review

Sweet Corvette, The Whisky, West Hollywood. CA., January 2, 2o25

To kick off the New Year 2026, I had the opportunity to see Sweet Corvette at The Whisky a go go on Friday January 2, 2026. I first got to see them live in November 2025.

Members:
Joey Fenton: singer
David Iba: drummer
Louis Lopez: guitar
Matthew Geinitz: bassist

These guys completely rock, and their sound has a vibe that definitely fits them completely, and a very talented unique band. The singer Joey lets his passion show in every song, and I love how he transforms each song with his own style, each note, lyric in his originality. David always impresses on the drum kit, and it completely rocks, every kick, and hit creates each song. And of course, when you add in the guitarist Louis, and the bassist Matthew, it completely transforms into perfect passion.

I really got to focus on watching Louis last night, and I could feel his passion resonate deep while shredding on his guitars. Louis also has a unique sound which drew me in, especially during the riffs, they always draw me in. Matthew on the bass, was the most distinct bass tones I have ever heard, also completely unmatched. They performed a few original songs including Party, Pop Machine, and ended with a cover song Degenerated.

If you get the chance you need to go see them live, and I can’t wait for their next show.
