Anti Groupies at The Whisky – Live Review

At this year’s edition of The NAMM Show, Anti Groupies performed a short acoustic set at the Highwire Daze Booth, packing a ton of passion and liberation even without the assistance of a microphone or amps. This reviewer was finally able to see a full-fledged Anti Groupies performance at The Whisky – and due to a last-minute cancellation, the band played for 45 minutes, and what an absolutely electrifying and empowering experience Anti Groupies presented at the iconic venue. Even at the 7:00PM breakfast hour, Anti Groupies rocked the house with their fierce sonic entreaties.

From the opening refrains of the dynamic Social Battery, this all-girl band unleashed an extended set of edgy alternative /pop rock anthems. And the kickass songs raged on, with highlights such as the wickedly wonderful Cigarette Slut, the venomous yet triumphant vibes of Voice Mail, and their spiraling new single Read The Room leaving quite an impact on the audience.

Each and every member of Anti Groupies exude a massive amount of talent, drive, and charisma, featuring Cassidy Fleeman (vocals/guitar), Isabella Broersma (guitar), Sydney Moore (bass), and Kyla Foster (drums). Cassidy stated from the stage that she was under the weather, but the cold made her voice sound even sultrier, which absolutely worked for the songs!

With live shows this explosive and the thrilling tunes to back it all up, Anti Groupies are destined to rock out above and beyond their City of Angels hometown!
