Carbonwire at The Viper Room – Live Review
Carbonwire, The Viper Room, West Hollywood, CA., August 9, 2025
Highwire Daze has been hanging out at The Viper Room quite a lot lately – and no wonder, because promoter Kelly McGarry truly presents some of the very best local shows here in the Los Angeles area. I had just witnessed the Paul Austin Band earlier on in the day, and now it was time to see another well recommended collective named Carbonwire. Even since their debut show at The Whisky opening for Alesana, Carbonwire has been rocking Los Angeles with their absolutely brilliant amalgamation of modern metal, grunge, and melodic rock.

Front and center stage is the charismatic front man Matt Vistnes – whether it’s the grungy, thoroughly impassioned vocals or supremely inspired guitar virtuosity, Matt Vistnes delivers the sonic goods tenfold. Kenny Valadez also shreds it into the stratosphere on guitar while bassist Tanner Khan and drummer Seth Hernandez make for an ultra-dynamic rhythm section. A solid lineup of musicians who are ready to rock your entire world and left you craving a whole lot more!

You could bet this reviewer will be revisiting the thrilling soundscapes of Carbonwire once more! Be sure to check out their just released album Amazing Disgrace as well as their Instagram for upcoming live show listings.
