After 25 years of fans asking, HOME GROWN is officially kicking off the first chapter of what will become a full slate of performances celebrating the 25th anniversary of their beloved album, Kings of Pop. The anniversary celebration begins in Southern California with performances on January 15, 2027 at The Observatory North Park in San Diego and January 16, 2027 at The El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, marking the start of a year of special shows still to be announced.
Originally released in 2002, Kings of Pop has become one of the defining records of the early-2000s pop-punk era. Featuring fan favorites that have stood the test of time, the album continues to resonate more than two decades later and remains a cornerstone release for pop-punk fans around the world.

“25 years. Kings of Pop might be turning silver but these songs are still gold. You know what else is silver? Our hair.” says Johnee Trash (aka John Tran) “What a better time to celebrate an album which we recorded at age of 25, 25 years later. We still can’t believe even after all these years that our fans are still around and growing. Thanks pop-punk mom and dads!”
To coincide with the anniversary celebration, Drive-Thru Records has also announced the long-awaited return of Kings of Pop on vinyl for the first time in more than a decade. The new pressing will be available for purchase beginning Friday.
The San Diego and Los Angeles dates mark the beginning of a much larger 2027 celebration, with additional shows and announcements to be revealed throughout the year.
