Edge Of Paradise at The Viper Room

Edge Of Paradise, The Viper Room, June 7, 2017

Edge Of Paradise made a striking appearance at the notorious Viper Room on the Sunset Strip, unleashing their own exhilarating brand of hard rock and heavy metal.  Possessing a wickedly fascinating front woman in the absolutely bewitching Margarita Monet and a battalion of supremely talented musicians, Edge Of Paradise is sure to thoroughly enrapture all types of music aficionados with their vibrant songs and captivating live performance.  Opening their set with the rapturous refrains of Rise From The Fall off their 2015 full length Immortal Waltz magnum opus, Edge Of Paradise instantly mesmerized The Viper Room attendees on a rock and raging Wednesday night.

The big news of the hour was the arrival of the Edge Of Paradise EP Alive.  Many of the new songs were unveiled – performed for the first time and clearly showing a band ready to breakthrough on the worldwide metal scene in a grand and epic way.  The title track was wondrously inspiring within a live setting, and the industrial strength reverberations of Dust To Dust enveloped the cavernous Viper RoomHumanoid was another highlight – an absolutely chilling anthem showing just how imaginative and persuasive the latest Edge Of Paradise entreaties are.

Ms. Monet is one of the most amazing and vastly underrated female vocalists on the metal scene today.  Whether it’s singing like an angel or screaming as if possessed by otherworldly forces, Ms. Monet is a fierce chanteuse who really knows how to deliver an intriguing performance.  You just can’t take your eyes off her. Once you are able to explore the entire membership, the massive performances of each and every musician within the band are absolutely devastating.  Guitarists Dave Bates and David Ruiz present a diabolically atmospheric wall of sound while bassists Nick Ericson and drummer John Chominsky make for a superbly intensive rhythm section.  Closing out with In A Dream, the very first song the band ever wrote together, Edge Of Paradise left their audience totally transfixed wanting to experience a whole lot more of the darkly magical tapestries.

Upcoming Edge Of Paradise shows include a night at Di Piazza’s in Long Beach on August 8th with September Mourning as well as an appearance at the Female Metal Event in the Netherlands on September 23rd opening for the one and only Delain!  Be sure to check into Edge Of Paradise’s latest recording Alive – now available from The ILS Group!
