Sellout Productions present The Second Annual Like Totally 80’s Festival with Berlin, Men Without Hats, Missing Persons, A Flock Of Seagulls, Animotion and more!

The Second Annual Like Totally 80’s Festival is slated to converge upon the wilds of Huntington Park State Beach this Saturday, May 13^th.  And this year, the lineup is absolutely fabulous, headlined by the insatiable Berlin, whose songs such as The Metro and No More Words remains as timeless as ever.

We’ll be doing The Safety Dance once again with Men Without Hats, find ourselves Walking In L.A. with Missing Persons as well as singing along rapturous to A Flock Of Seagull’s classic I Ran (So Far Away).

Animotion will still be your favorite Obsession, whether unveiling glories from the past or presenting songs from their devastating new album Raise Your Expectations.

Other iconic acts on the bill include The Untouchables, When In Rome UK, and Corey Feldman’s Angels.  And be sure to arrive early to catch a very special performance of The Reflexx, featuring Annabella Lwin of Bow Wow Wow, Nick Richards of Boys Don’t Cry, and Deborah Iyall of Romeo Void.  The entire day will hosted by the legendary DJ Richard Blade, famous for his work at the almighty KROQ as well as daily gig at Sirius XM’s First Wave.

The promoters who are unleashing this very epic event  are Scott and Vanessa from Sellout Productions, who really let their imaginations go wild when booking the acts on this very special all day show.  Here is a short interview we conducted with the Sellout crew to find out what to expect from the wild and crazy Saturday afternoon party celebrating the 80’s at the HB!  Read on….

What are the origins of the Like Totally Festival and how many years have you been doing it?
This is our 2nd year but we have been involved with like minded festivals and shows for years.

We run a few festivals (www.socalhoedown.com and www.vivaskavegas.com ) and we saw a great opportunity for a show like this and dealing with the bands on shows in venues made us love working these

What could one expect from the Like Totally Festival this year?
A great time and a unique show experience, we want to combime the fun of the Outdoor Festival like Warped Tour with the great 80s bands and make this the new way to see shows…..

Food Trucks, Retail Vendors, Great Craft Beer, Costume Contests and more make this different than going to the usual venues and sitting down in a seat or being crammed into a club. We have the sun, the ocean and the fresh air!!

What is your personal favorite band of the 80’s and why?
Oingo Boingo and the Plimsouls….just are lol

What is your favorite and the most quirky memory of the 80’s?
Being 13 yrs old and listening to Dusty Street, Richard Blade, Freddy Snakeskin and the other jocks talk at a show about how crazy the nite was before.  Those were the heroes of the 80s.

What is your favorite movie of the 80’s and why?
Breakfast Club. Just the writing and the story…love it still.

What do you recommend people do to prepare for an all day concert at the beach?
Bring a chair and sunblock….we have the bar, the food, the water.

Any final words of wisdom?
Go support the music or it will go away…whatever you love go see the bands play.
