[H]er old punk attitude is in full flower – but the track is a rollercoaster of dynamics, with shimmering guitars, glittering harmonies, and even a bit of country twang…as creatively vital as ever.

She spent her teen years on the go fronting the punk road warriors TAT, moved behind-the-scenes to write and produce for other artists, movie soundtracks and commercials (including penning and producing the worldwide theme song for 7UP), and is now stepping forward to unleash her full self unto her fans. London-borm Tatiana DeMaria is releasing her first completely solo material, creating a deliberate, intricate blend of rock, pop, and R&B.

What It Is About You” is the first glimpse of the “new” Tatiana: not technically new, but a more experienced version of the girl on stage who had written two charting singles and opened for Alice Cooper and The Offspring before the age of twenty. Her experience is highlighted in her lyrical depth, sound and unparalleled live show.

Tatiana explains the push behind the upcoming solo EP: “I’ve been hungry for something real. Lyrical honesty and more organic instruments, but still pushing the envelope and creating something fresh. That’s what this new record is about for me, and watching more artists push that through excites me.”

What It Is About You” is streaming now via BlackBook and available tomorrow via all DSPs.

Her upcoming solo EP, lyrically, is Tatiana at her most raw and vulnerable, fully laying out all aspects of herself to her audience, yet still marked with touches of the signature fiery vocal delivery that won fans over with TAT.
