Sweet Blasphemy at The Viper Room – Live Reviews
Sweet Blasphemy, The Viper Room, West Hollywood, CA., February 23, 2023
In between historic rainstorms in the Southern California area, the weather would clear up just long enough so music fans could venture out to the clubs safely. Sweet Blasphemy was playing at the notorious Viper Room on the Sunset Strip, and unleashed their own hurricane force set of post hardcore reveries.
One of the newest members of the LA Rock Collective, Sweet Blasphemy is destined to break out above and beyond the local City of Angels music scene – especially if their dynamic live show at the Viper Room is indicative of greater glories ahead. With solid songs and a cool look and exhilarating live performance to back it all up, Sweet Blasphemy delivered the goods with an epic intensity.
Complete with a band name referencing a Black Veil Brides song, it’s no surprise that the passion and energy Sweet Blasphemy places into their music is so powerful and addictive. Black Veil Brides has a solid fan base because of this, and it’s obvious that the Sweet Blasphemy brigade is well on their to securing their own legion of diehards.
Opening with the fierce one-two punch of Paradise and Friends With Death, Sweet Blasphemy proceeded to rock the house with an explosive presentation. Also included towards the end of the show was their upcoming single Devil’s Smile, which was very well received by the Viper Room attendees.
Amazing performances from each and every band member of the Sweet Blasphemy brigade, including Davey on lead vocals, Sebastian on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jeremiah on bass and vocals, Jason on lead guitar, and Ray on drums. Expect to hear a whole lot more from Sweet Blasphemy in the months ahead, and be sure to check them out the next time they arrive to spread their auditory gospel at a venue near you. Fans of acts such as The Used, My Chemical Romance, and of course Black Veil Brides just may encounter a new favorite band when discovering what Sweet Blasphemy has to offer the world at large.
