Scarlet Bandit at The Whisky – Live Review

Scarlet Bandit at The Whisky – Live Review

Scarlet Bandit, The Whisky, West Hollywood, CA., July 2, 2025

Scarlet Bandit is the creation of the wickedly talented Jade Vitriol, one of the most epically underrated front men on the Sunset Strip music scene today. The one constant within the ranks of Scarlet Bandit, Jade definitely knows how dazzle a crowd – whether it’s his over-the-top stage banter or the ferociously memorable songs, Sunset Riot captures your attention and slams you headfirst into the mirth of mayhem of their live show.

Band members seem to come and go within the ranks of Scarlet Bandit, and on this particular night at the Whisky, drummer Conner Eddy lent his own amazing talents to the proceedings. Conner is best known for his tenure within the ranks of Against The Sun and TemperMental – and now with Scarlet Bandit, it really looks like he’s found the perfect band to create with at long last. Just as quirky and as inventive as Jade, Conner brings his own expertise and sense of humor into the fold – and what a brilliant meeting of the minds this is.

Opening with the stunning inflections of Kids These Days and then merging into the raging reveries of Twin Flames, Scarlet Bandit rocked the iconic venue tenfold – even if only two members happened to be present. And what an absolutely combustible amalgamation of genres and energy Scarlet Bandit has for the world at large.

Imagine a twisted night out where Guns ‘N Roses and pop punkers Sleeping With Sirens decided to a collab with Iggy Pop crashing the already improbable scenario, and you are only beginning to envision the sweet and subversive confections Scarlet Bandit has in store for you!

And the should-be hits kept on arriving, with selections such as Best Friends Forever and Rockstar Girlfriend leaving a decidedly vast impact on the audience. Closing out with California, Jade Vitriol and Conner Eddy sealed the deal with the crowd, and left everyone craving for a whole lot of more of that Scarlet Bandit magic!

This is apparently the last show Scarlet Bandit plans to do for a while, as they are now finishing up a new album – and hopefully finding committed band members along the way who can share with Jade’s intriguing vision. Even as a duo, Scarlet Bandit is massively entertaining, presenting memorable tunes that will rage in your head long after the live show rages to an end!
