SlaughtHER at The Federal Bar
SlaughtHER, The Federal Bar, February 21, 2019
If you know hair bands, you know the band Slaughter. Slaughter formed in the late 80s, and toured a ton in the 90s, capturing the hearts of women everywhere with that hair and hit singles like Up All Night and Fly to the Angels. What if I told you that there is a female tribute group capturing the hearts of men and women? Meet the ladies of SlaughtHER!
I was skeptical when I heard this, but I enjoy Slaughter and was invited to enjoy a night with these ladies, so I gave it a chance. I arrived at the venue early to meet everyone and found a choir group, the band, and a burlesque troop. What could go wrong? Nothing! The night was amazing and left me craving more. SlaughtHER plays a full set of fan favorites and members rotate in and out as needed for each song. The choir helped sing Fly to the Angels‘ and the burlesque troop danced on stage with the band and then wandered out into the crowd during Dangerous.
The night was almost sold out, and some big name people in the music and film industry could be seen through the crowd, watching the amazing ladies rock out on stage.
