We Found New Music with Jasmine Star, August Lee Stevens, Elle Winter at Hotel Ziggy – Live Review

Jasmine Star

We Found New Music with Jasmine Star, August Lee Stevens, Elle Winter, Hotel Ziggy, West Hollywood, CA., April 24, 2026

On Friday April 24th, 2026 I decided to go to the Friday night debut show of WFNM at Hotel Ziggy on Sunset Blvd, in West Hollywood. We Found New Music (WFNM) is an amazing opportunity for musicians to showcase their talent. Normally it’s every Wednesday and Thursday night, and the showcases are hosted by Grant Owens.

I got to see three superb musicians—Jasmine Star, August Lee Stevens, and Elle Winter, and these young ladies completely blew me away, turning me into an instant fan. Jasmine Star is a killer shredder on guitar and a true rocker. August Lee Stevens is a powerhouse, her piano skills are amazing. Elle Winter is a completely outstanding up-and-coming pop vocalist.

August Lee Stevens

Jasmine Star, a gifted guitarist on both acoustic and electric guitar, opened the night at WFNM. I was able to talk to her parents for a little while, she has had some amazing experiences and amazing opportunities. Jasmine opened her set with her unreleased song Innuendo, threw in a couple more unreleased songs, and ended with Sick of being hot. However she shredded a cover of Jimi Hendrix’sVoodoo Child” on her electric guitar. I loved the acoustic songs, however when she plugged in that electric guitar, it brought the experience to a new level. Her original songs have a fantastic indie vibe to them.

Next up was August Lee Stevens, who started her set with some amazing original written songs on the piano. Her setlist started with her original song “Tell Me,” also included “Think of Me,” “Sweet Thing,” a cover of “Ex Factor” by Lauryn Hill, and ended with her original song “Better Places.” August, an exceptionally talented musician, has something special. She has a very strong voice and hit every note perfectly. Her skills on piano and acoustic guitar are highly amazing.

Elle Winter

The next musician I was able to see perform was Elle Winter. This performer completely took me by surprise and definitely drew the crowd in with her high energy. She is a pop star in the making. Her setlist included a mixture of original songs and covers, including “Little Miss Fix It,” “Do You,” and “I Will Survive X Flowers” (a cover song). Elle has a complete passion for performing, which you see in every song. Elle reminds me of a young Christina Aguilera. Elle owned that room at Hotel Ziggy. I showed up not knowing what to expect, and left as a fan.

“We Found New Music” is doing something amazing for these musicians, and I love trying to go to as many of the showcases as I can. Grant brings in superbly amazing talent from indie to pop, and so much more. If you’ve never been to these showcases I highly recommend you go check them out.
